Are you interested in a Solo Show?

 Dear Artist,

Thank you for visiting our gallery web site. If you are interested in showing with us please read the following guidelines carefully.

We are currently accepting works on paper for consignment sale through Twin Oaks Gallery Art & Frame.  If you are interested in your own solo show please attend an artist reception first.

Though we take on a very small percent of artists, we assure you we look at each portfolio submission carefully and thoroughly because we want to see it, know who you are and what type of art you make. We only ask for your patience as we make our way through the review process.

First step:

We STRONGLY encourage you to visit Twin Oaks Gallery so you can see us in person. Please remember that we are a new gallery and always looking for new artists. You might want to bring your portfolio on CD with you, as described below.

PLEASE do NOT bring your art to the gallery without being asked to do so during an appointment. The framer and gallery director will not review or give advice about your portfolio without an appointment.

About our review process for artists:
We review portfolios on the last Saturday of every month. If we are interested we will call you to come in for an interview. If we don’t think your work is a good fit for the gallery we will send an email to you shortly. There is no advantage to calling or emailing to speed up the process. We will answer every submission with either a call or an email response.

 

 

Please submit the following: 

 

• An artist statement of about 150 words along with a list of your awards, certificates, degrees, etc., regarding your work

• JPG images: about 15 to 20 images of your work with title, media, size, date and your price for each piece of work (per the image name). Please keep the images less than 300dpi on the longest measure.

Your CD/photos will not be returned but will be kept on file for future reference. You can either mail your CD to the gallery or drop it off in person. Be sure to write your name on the CD.

Please be patient, response time is usually by the end of the month.

 

What happens if we are interested:
If we are interested in your work, we will contact you by phone or email. At this point we will arrange to meet with you and see your work in person. We will discuss our contract and commission structure and answer any questions you have.
